Japanese rain doll (Teru teru bozu)

Because of resent rain activity ,I decided to put up a fun Japanese rain song , Its almost like our

"rain rain go away...etc." (English version also)

 

Literally means ‘shiny-shiny Buddhist ’

 

Teru=describes sunshine

 

bōzu= is a(compare the word bonze), or in modern slang, "bald-headed"

 

teru teru=referring to the effect of bright sunlight reflecting off a bald head.
