Japanesse Trends

This is the new & most Basic of all Japanese fashion, these have been categorized by Types of fashion you or want to fall into (NOT MY VIDEO!!!)
Decora:でこら The idea is to
decorate yourself in
brightly coloured accessories such as
necklaces, bracelets
rings,plastic
toys and many
hair clips.A very kawaii look. quite child-like
but pretty!
Lolita:ロリータ Most of you who are familiar with the lolita
fashion will know that it goes beyond just
gothic and sweet lolita styles. There are many
more types
such as punk,hime (princess),deco,classic
and more. A popular mook
(magazine/book) called "The gothic and Lolita
Bible" covers all these beautiful
Lolita styles and
is perfect if
you are interested and what to know more.
Kigurumi:着ぐるみ Kigurumis are girls or guys that wear
cosy outfits (pajamas) such as cows,cats,pokemon,
and dinosaurs ^_^ they are so warm and fun!
visual kei:ヴィジュアル系 The Visual kei style is a distinct one as seen in bands
such as x japan, malice mizer,the gazette and many more. Everything,
from the make-up and hair styles through to the clothes
is striking and in some cases quite beautiful. Some of
the japanese visual kei fans like to wear the same stuff as
their idols such as dressing like mana sama for
example.

Ganguro:ガングロ (linked with gyaru) This fashion includes having a VERY deep tan,
dyed hair, mostly bleached or even orange. White concealer
is used for eye makeup as well as black ink for eyeliner.
They wear high platform boots and brightly coloured outfits

Kogal:コギャル (kogyaru,gyaru) Kogal is based on the japanese girls
school uniform.
One of the more common characteristics of this
fashion is the loose socks, mainly worn in white. The skirts
are generally shorter than most japanese uniforms.
The most popular hair colour for kogals is brown.
And like the ganguro, they favour artificial
tans, (although not as deep as ganguro)
Cosplay:コスプレ Costume play! dressing up as a
specific character, most commonly from animes, but maybe also
your fave jrock star or a character from a manga.
Fruits:Fruits is a japanese fashion magazine full of snapshots
of mostly random japanese people with interesting outfits^^
They are taken around Harajuku and Tokyo.
